    **UW Medical Center Northwest Plant Engineering Department** has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time **Maintenance Engineer** .

    WORK SCHEDULE

    + 100% FTE

    + Monday – Friday

    + Day Shift **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** **UW Medical Center Northwest Plant Engineering** provides engineering, repair & maintenance services to the main hospital buildings, garage, and grounds. Areas of responsibility include building shell & structures, HVAC, utility, and other critical environment of care support systems.

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

    + This position is assigned to the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning, a first-of-its-kind inpatient care and teaching facility built and opened in Spring 2024 thanks to a $244 million investment from Governor Inslee and the state legislature. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

    + Perform general routine maintenance and repair throughout assigned areas

    + Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical and structural systems

    + Identifies potential safety problems and notifies Facilities Manager; recommends repairs

    + Coordinates projects with outside vendors and facilitates professional grade repairs **REQUIREMENTS**

    + High school graduation or equivalent

    + 3rd Grade Boiler license from the City of Seattle

    + Minimum of two years maintenance experience
