SIGN-ON BONUS: Up to $5000.00 (prorated based on hours worked per week/ FTE) with a 2 year commitment. External and internal eligible candidates only.
SCHEDULE: Full time (40 hours per week/1.0 FTE). Hours could vary from 7:00am-9:00pm. Weekday shifts primarily at Suburban Outpatient Pavilion and as needed shifts at other Urgent Care and Outpatient Sites. Every 4th weekend at Downtown Outpatient Urgent Care from 8:00am-8:00pm. One to two holiday rotation per year. Urgent Care on-call rotation every other month.
Position Summary:
+ Performs all routine diagnostic radiographic procedures through proper patient positioning, technique selection, application of immobilization and radiation protection devices.
+ Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:
+ Performs all routine diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through patient positioning, technique selection, administration of contrast media and application of immobilization and radiation protection devices as established by LG protocols, policies and procedures.
+ Receives requests, checking for special instructions from the requesting physicians. Consults with Radiologists as necessary.
+ Greets patients--confirming their identifications performing the correct procedures as directed and completely explaining the procedure to patient and family as directed.
+ Operates and enters information through the hospital computer system. Documents required information and patient history in the electronic medical record. Documents other information as required.
+ Completes examination, consultation, and billing procedures as required. Performs POC testing, Universal Protocol and other paperwork as applicable.
+ Accurately and appropriately utilizes all computer related equipment, such as the electronic health record, email and the intranet.
+ May require travel to various site locations.
+ The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
+ Performs visual preventive safety inspections. Completes warm-up procedures for each radiographic room equipment as assigned. Records quality control activities. Reports equipment conditions to immediate leadership or appropriate personnel.
+ Compliance with OSHA and other mandated safety procedures or regulations.
+ Maintains necessary inventory supplies for assigned workstation, rotating stock in an orderly fashion and eliminating outdated items.
+ Participates in the clinical education of Radiology students as required.
+ Participates in the on-call responsibilities for this position as required.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
+ Minimum Required Qualifications:
+ Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology School.
+ Certification in Radiological Technology, issued by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists: within eighteen 18 months of placement in position if hired placed prior to 1 01 2024; within twelve 12 months of placement in position if hired placed as of January 1, 2024.
+ CPR certification is required.
+ Valid driver's license may be required based upon position assignment .
+ Two 2 years of clinical experience beyond training.
