RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides regulatory, documentation and billing leadership to employees of The Queen’s Medical Center across all practice areas of rehabilitation services.
• Coordinates rehabilitation billing audits, orients new staff, and educates staff on CMS and private payor regulations, and ensures timely response to requests in accordance with established department and medical center policies and procedures and within prescribed guidelines.
• Carries a caseload specific to area of discipline.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Other physical demands as per discipline of therapist. Refer to Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist job description as appropriate.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Other typical working conditions as per discipline of therapist. Refer to Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist job description as appropriate.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii State license as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Current BLS Certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years experience as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.
• Knowledge of billing regulations and requirements for rehab therapy professionals.
• Clinical supervisory experience preferred.
