    The Program Supervisor, Christian Counselors Network position exists to ensure the efficient operations and to manage and implement program strategies of the Christian Counselors Network (CCN). This position provides leadership for the future of the CCN, maintenance of CCN data, responsiveness to CCN clinicians and reporting that leadership needs regarding the CCN. This position will also be responsible to oversee and coach any volunteers, interns or other FOF staff that assist with CCN work as assigned – and managed by this position.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Prepares multiple internal reports regarding the CCN such as the growth, attrition, money collected, and other factors needed by the management team

    + Represents FOF counseling department on phone, in writing and in person with the CCN clinicians using the appropriate FOF tone, professionalism and writing as needed

    + Effectively communicates using discernment and the proper “Focus” writing style

    + Serves as an outward facing ministry representative to counselors in the network and potential members, and manages the program benefits and interface effectively with the members

    + Alerts IT to any issues on the website regarding the CCN tool and updates all CCN web documents

    + Oversees the process for CCN applications including reporting and ensuring they are handled in a timely manner

    + Understands FOF orthodoxy to analyze applications and seek clarification needs from applicants

    + Reviews public facing CCN profiles to ensure the counselor bios are in line with FOF orthodoxy and acceptable professional ethics

    + Works closely with Marketing representatives and provides recommendations to Directors/VP for the CCN regarding marketing, growth, events, system simplifications, appropriate communication to the CCN clinicians and other program aspects

    + Examines and identifies areas of the CCN where referral resources are sparse, seeking to eliminate both geographic and specialty-based gaps within the network

    + Utilizes system software to create member accounts, maintain account information, and identify and solve complex adjustment needs within the network databases

    + Navigates multiple databases for internal records and outward facing CCN profiles

    + Coaches and directs any volunteers, interns or other FOF staff that provide work on the CCN projects, ensuring their quality of work. This may include coaching for the volunteer or intern or coordinating with the manager of the FOF staff person

    + Recruits and develops new referral sources for the CCN and actively pursues relationships with mental health professionals and counseling ministries to improve the CCN

    + Oversees the creation of content for and maintains ongoing contact with CCN participants through various means, including newsletters, Counseling Services web content, conferences, mailings, attending events, etc.

    + Manages the workflows of all marketing correspondence for CCN members using the Aprimo system; tracks timelines within these workflows to ensure deadlines are met

    + Updates new information and ensures the CCN internal database and application records are current by running reports and contacting CCN clinicians

    + Serves as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the CCN tool as necessary, including tutorials and training of counselors and internal users

    + Organizes and executes all logistics for CCN representation at conferences; represents Focus on the Family at conferences by setting up and running exhibitor booths

    Focus Marital Therapy Certification Program Support:

    + Provides adjunct support to Focus’s counselor training program under the Focus Marriage Institute

    + Oversees application/screening logistics pertaining to Focus Marital Therapy Certification (FMTC)

    + Tracks the steps and workflows of each student

    + Communicates effectively with attending therapists

    + Sets up supervision meetings for students and instructors

    + Serves as a liaison between Evangel University, attending therapists, and FMTC leadership

    + Manages aid in these tasks from among other members of department support team

    Other Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Serves as a back-up to Counseling Support Staff as needed

    + Occasionally assists with the counselor queue and assigns calls from the general queue into the counselors’ personal work queue, considering special time requests and counselor workload

    + Occasionally assists with confidential employee consults requests including communications with the employee to find the right counselor, scheduling the time with the counselor and handling their visit when in the department area

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job:

    + May interview, hire and manage ad-hoc temp staff or those assigned to a time-limited project

    + Oversees volunteers and interns

    + Identifies tasks that can be delegated and manages workflow from the garnered assistance

    + Strategizes with Department Logistics Manager and Director for workflow delegations among support staff

    Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

    + Office environment

    + Frequently exposed to crisis situations

    + Ability to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time

    + Occasional travel required

    Knowledge/Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

    + 2-4 years general office experience with a minimum of 6 months at FOF

    + Working knowledge of FOTF mission, philosophy, values, and objectives (including close understanding of theology/orthodoxy)

    + Knowledge of various software applications

    + Ability to learn new projects/procedure and train others about them as needed

    Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:

    + Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)

    + Ability to relate well to emotional constituents, professional counselors within and outside of the ministry, staff from other departments, and friends of the ministry with awareness/sensitivity; Ability to use various software programs including Microsoft Word and Excel

    + Ability to plan and arrange own work, to prioritize tasks to complete multiple projects, adjust work schedule as demands change, and delegate when necessary

    + Ability to conduct and organize meetings and ensure that viewpoints are expressed and actions clearly determined

    + Ability to take/distribute meeting notes and assign follow-up tasks to meeting attendees

    + Ability to maintain confidential data/information

    + Ability to anticipate and plan for department requirements

    + Ability to stay calm under pressure, performing duties, demonstrating emotional balance

    + Ability to think rationally, apply logic/discernment in solving problems/making decisions

    + Ability to lift and move moderate-weighted boxes for conference display setups

    Pay Range: $26.00 to $30.00
