    We’re looking for a confident, solutions-focused leader with a passion for geospatial precision and real-world impact. You’ll manage people, performance, and equipment—all while using the latest tools in surveying technology to execute projects that matter. Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Raleigh, NC!

     

    Join our Survey/Geospatial team, which offers a full range of survey and geospatial data and mapping services that enable us to collect data faster, safer, and more accurately than ever before. Under your direction, survey staff collect data from the air, ground and subsurface to provide precision data interpretation.

    Responsibilities

    + This position may include work as a leader of one, two or three-person crews.

    + Survey projects include NCDOT design and ROW, topographic, aerial ground control, boundary and ALTA.

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma/GED is required.

    + 10 years of field survey experience and at least 5 years of experience as a Crew Chief, or equivalent knowledge.

    + North Carolina DOT (NCDOT) project experience.

    + Proficient in use of Trimble equipment.

    + Candidates must be proficient with data collectors, data collection techniques, robotic instruments, conventional field note-keeping, total stations and leveling.

    + Experience with or ability to learn the use of 3D scanners.

    + Candidate must be a self-starter, with little need for supervision once provided with a work assignment.

    + Must be able to work in inclement weather.

    + Willingness to travel overnight.

    + A valid driver's license and clean driving record required. MVR will be checked and monitored.

    + Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

     

    Requires a pre-employment drug screen and will require ongoing participation in the employer's random drug and alcohol testing program.
