    Product Manager - Hybrid - Albany, NY

     

    In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and delivery of data assets, many of which will be datamarts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including internal and external customers, data engineers, analysts, developers, and Medicaid Program stakeholders to ensure the creation of high quality, accessible and actionable data assets that support decision-making, policy implementation, and service optimization.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    1. Product Strategy and Roadmap Development

    a. Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle of data products from ideation, through design, implementation, enhancements and maintenance.

    b. Define and own the product elements, vision and roadmap for data assets, in alignment with Program goals.

    c. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements, features and enhancements based on business needs and data requirements.

    d. Ensure product milestones align with Program needs and Policy changes to ensure reporting requirements, performance goals and Medicaid compliance.

    e. Lead the collaboration required to develop and maintain key project artifacts including but not limited to Project Charters, Solution Design Documents, Peer Review and User Acceptance Test Documents, Product Manuals and Release Plans.

    2. Oversight of Data Asset Development

    a. Lead and collaborate with the data engineering/development teams to ensure the successful design, deployment and maintenance of data assets.

    b. Oversee the development of data assets and obtain approvals to ensure accurate and efficient extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of Medicaid data.

    c. Ensure development team creates data model/data dictionary and infrastructure to facilitate effective querying and reporting for internal and external customers.

    d. Ensure development team creates required artifacts.

    e. Effectively manage a team of various vendors and parties.

    3. Project Management

    a. Manage timelines, resources, deliverables for the data product initiatives, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within scope and satisfies requirements.

    b. Work with cross functional teams to remove obstacles and ensure smooth project execution.

    c. Provide project status updates, meeting minutes, manage risks and action items, help adjust timelines and priorities if appropriate.

    d. Ensure clear and consistent communication between product development and business teams.

    e. Maintain up to date access forms, provide forms to new staff and give business need when submitting to appropriate entity.

    4. Product/Domain Subject Matter Expert

    a. Develop a deep expertise in a specific domain(s) of related data assets, including data structures, sources and use cases.

    b. Educate internal and external stakeholders on the capabilities of our data assets, establishing best use practices, addressing questions, challenges and understanding and facilitating the remediation of underlying data complexities or issues.

    c. Act as a trusted advisor to customers and be keenly aware of how the product and data can impact program decision making, is influenced by policy and guide users to maximize the effectiveness and utility of the products. Be the go-to person with expertise in the domain/area of data assets you manage.

    d. Ensure that internal and external customers are aware of any product limitations, potential biases or issues and any other key concerns with the product.

    Additional Requirements and/or certifications desired for position:

    + Bachelor's Degree and/or 8 - 10 years equivalent work experience

    + Open and clear communication skills required

    + Excellent documentation and process creation skills preferred

    + Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to move projects forward

    + Exceptional verbal, written, and time-management skills

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word required

    + Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio preferred

     

    _*Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 37.5 hours per week._

     

    Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
