Job Summary and Qualifications
+ Develops and maintains relevant policies and procedures, patient education, outcomes data collection, quality improvement efforts, and education of relevant staff in various aspects with a focus on patient safety.
+ Partners with physician leaders in the development of written protocols and education of the clinical team in the management and treatment of metabolic and bariatric surgery patients
+ Manages program accreditation process and ensures continuous compliance with MBSAQIP requirements, Payers, and other regulatory entities.
+ Responds and coordinates all initial requests for accreditation: application/site inspection and RFl's from MBSAQIP, Payers and other regulatory entities.
+ Responsible for preparing the service line for accreditation and site inspection.
+ Responsible for outlining key milestones for program advancement, tracking progress for program development in robotics service lines.
+ Works closely with hospital leadership to promote program growth and implement services that promote optimum health care delivery and customer service throughout the various hospitals services.
+ Serves as the liaison between the hospitals, patients and all surgeons performing robotic and metabolic surgery at the hospitals.
+ Facilitates the strategy and operations meetings at Chippenham & Johnston-Willis hospitals to support the mission and growth of the robotics program.
+ Collaborates with the MBSC to utilize quality improvement as a basis to improve processes to achieve desired outcomes.
+ Ensures timely and accurate quality data collection, validation, and entry into the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform.
+ Pursues own professional growth and development.
+ Assumes accountability for decisions and actions.
+ Supports the organization's outreach programs to the community.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
+ Licensed Physical Therapist, or (RN) Registered Nurse
+ Required: Bachelors Degree
+ Preferred: MSN or MHA Degree or business management; Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) Certification
+ Required: 3 years or more in a hospital setting
+ Preferred: 3 years or more of specific bariatric experience
