Job Description
The Department of Community Partnerships & Campus Visit Experience is responsible for coordinating all Enrollment Management events, campus visit experiences (including individual and group tours), and outreach in ASPIRE districts and the community. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Community Partnerships & Campus Visit Experience, the Intern will assist with the coordination and execution of all summer events, programming, outreach, and tours scheduled and assigned to the department.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide support to the Executive Director, Assistant Director of Campus Visit Experience, and Director of Outreach with all events and programming for prospective students, K-8 students, and families.
+ Assist in coordinating specific assigned recruitment and yield events for new, incoming first-year and transfer students.
+ May counsel prospective students regarding university admissions process and policies.
+ Ensures appropriate resources (meeting rooms, parking, etc.) for on-campus events and programming.
+ Works collaboratively with the Director of Outreach to develop a successful summer camp program for elementary and middle school students.
+ Provides excellent customer services to all on-campus visitors, prospective students, and their families.
+ Provides overall support for the Office of Community Partnerships & Campus Visit Experience.
+ May represent the University at off-campus events, college fairs, and community outreach initiatives.
+ May also provide tours to visiting students, families and special groups.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Must have a Bachelor's degree or be a current Graduate Student at Texas A&M University-San Antonio
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ At least two (2) years of experience in event planning or previous higher education experience is preferred.
