    We are looking for a Sr. Tech Business Developer to join our Alliances team.

     

    You must have equal comfort and experience working with C-level executives and internal product and engineering teams. You will be responsible for engaging and delivering technology solutions to customers. You have a strong delivery record with senior leadership experience hunting, owning and executing business technology deals.

     

    This role requires working with business teams across the company bringing the voice of the customer to our product and engineering teams, understanding and communicating critical business needs and how those translate into solutions. You must have experience building and negotiating complex technology contracts, partnering with finance and legal teams and being the single threaded owner for customers adopting technology solutions This position involves regular communication with senior leadership on status, risks and sales pipeline.

    - Leader: Significant experience leading partner teams through trust, good judgment, decision making and data.

     

    - Doer: Ability to successfully deliver end-to-end technology and operations projects, working through the many obstacles along the way

     

    - Communicator: Ability to present to C-level executives, communicate expectations and requirements equally well with business and technology teams, and capacity to write well-reasoned and data-driven proposals, performing your own data analysis as necessary

     

    - Problem Solver: Ability to utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Identify and engage key partners including retailers, ISVs, builders, architects, resellers, and system integrators.

     

    - Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners.

     

    - Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.

     

    - Understand the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.

     

    - Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the retail industry.

     

    - Manage complex contract negotiations and liaison with the legal group

     

    - Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast pace of emerging and nascent technologies.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree

     

    - Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

     

    - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

     

    - Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
