Job Description
Purpose:
The Program Specialist II provides coordination and support for assigned programs, with a focus on student engagement, event planning, recruitment, and communications. This role works closely with student leaders and campus partners to organize program events, builds connections with industry partners, and serves as a key resource for prospective students and families. The Program Specialist II plays an active role in supporting the program’s goals through effective event coordination, student support, and day-to-day program management.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates day-to-day operations of assigned program(s), including:
+ Collaborating with student leaders to plan and execute program events such as academic workshops, professional development seminars, networking events, and industry panels
+ Leading logistics for industry engagement activities, including hosting employers and coordinating industry-focused events
+ Serving as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families, responding to inquiries and providing guidance about the program
+ Supporting recruitment efforts through prospective student events, presentations, and campus visits
+ Assisting with management of program communications, including updating the program website and promotional materials
+ Tracking student participation in key program requirements to ensure timely completion
+ Developing internal procedures and resources to streamline program operations
+ Supporting other program initiatives and activities as needed
What we need:
+ Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two years of related experience.

+ Experience planning events, especially in an educational or professional development setting
+ Experience working with undergraduate students and student organizations
+ Familiarity with coordinating industry or employer engagement opportunities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
+ Ability to balance multiple priorities and work cooperatively with diverse stakeholders
+ Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
+ Ability to guide and collaborate effectively with student leaders and volunteers
+ Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage professionally with students, families, and external partners
