Manpower Engineering is exclusively partnering with a reputable, very well-established, and growing company in Manitowoc, WI on a highly visible and direct hire/permanent Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer position that has very strong growth potential. The hiring manager plans to retire in approximately 3 years so my client is ideally looking for someone that may have an interest in becoming their next Engineering Leader.

Our client’s, innovative machine tool designs have set the standard for U.S.-built machine tools for many years. With hundreds of machines in the field, some of them producing parts for over 30 years, they’ve built an unmatched reputation for quality and reliability. In addition to building new machine tools and systems, the company also rebuilds and reconditions existing company machines. They restore them to like-new performance with modern controls, requalified hydraulic and pneumatic systems and a new warranty. The company also improves the operation of any brand of older machine tools by replacing their aging controllers with new controllers and diagnostics. These new user-friendly controllers are programmed to slash troubleshooting time and help the customer get their machine tools back up and running faster. Finally, if a customer needs help getting machining work done, they also offer contract machining services.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The company builds metal-cutting machine tools in northeast Wisconsin. They’re looking for a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer that has experience with machine design.

Qualifications:

+ Required:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Open to an Associate’s Degree.

+ 5+ years of experience is preferred. Open to 3+ years of experiences.

+ Experience with machine design. Experience with metal-cutting machines and manufacturing processes is a plus.

+ Experience with Inventor is preferred. Open to experience with any 3D design program.

+ Pluses:

+ Experience with project management.

+ Creation and maintenance of bills of materials.

+ Weldment and sheet metal design.

+ Machine tending automation.

+ Experience in gearing design and bearing selection a plus.
