    Description

As Amazon Photos continues to scale, we're seeking a Senior Program Manager to build and lead our Product Operations function. This role will create the operational foundation that enables our three product groups and multiple engineering teams to deliver customer value more effectively. You'll establish the processes, tools, and practices that help product teams focus on innovation while ensuring consistent, high-quality execution. If you're passionate about operational excellence and enjoy solving complex organizational challenges, this role offers an opportunity to shape how product development works at scale.

    Key job responsibilities

Product Operations is the backbone of efficient product development, focusing on making teams more effective through better processes, tools, and practices. You'll own the end-to-end operational framework for our product organization, from quarterly planning through release management. This includes implementing standardized approaches to roadmap planning, establishing release coordination processes, and creating knowledge management systems that enable teams to work smarter. You'll partner closely with product leadership to define and track success metrics, ensuring our operational practices drive meaningful improvements in how we deliver value to customers. Core areas of focus:

    • Design and implementation of product development processes across groups

    • Knowledge management and best practices documentation

    • Release coordination and change control

    • Voice of Customer (VOC) program integration

    • Tools and infrastructure management

    A day in the life

Your role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and business operations, requiring strong collaboration with teams across the organization. A typical day might involve facilitating a quarterly planning session with product leaders in the morning, analyzing release metrics to identify process improvements in the afternoon, and working with engineering managers to streamline cross-team dependencies. You'll regularly engage with senior leadership to provide visibility into operational health and recommend improvements based on data and team feedback. Success in this role means being both strategic in planning improvements and hands-on in implementing them. Key partnerships include:

    • Product Managers and Engineering Managers

    • UX and Design teams

    • Analytics and Data teams
