    As a CBRE Business Development Director, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing global and regional sales campaigns and account development strategies. This job is a part of the Sales function. They are responsible for the successful execution of sales solutions that are developed and sold to existing clients.

    What You’ll do:

    + Quarterbacking large-scale, often multi-regional or global sales pursuits. This requires meticulous coordination of various CBRE service lines (e.g., Advisory & Transition, Project Management, Global Workplace Solutions, Turner & Townsend, Directline, etc.) and geographic teams to present a unified and seamless front to the hyperscale client.

    + Coordinate and manage daily sales and proposal activities. Establish client visit/call schedules, assign internal solutioning task, and work closely with Global Bid Manager and Managing Director on pipeline activities.

    + Establish and manage relationships with key hyperscale stakeholders. These include C-level, operations business leaders, partners and management level customer employees. Build genuine relationships with hyperscale clients to gain an understanding of their immediate and future business goals and objectives. Work together to identify new business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.

    + Provide strategic team direction toward the creation of proposals, presentations and other client-facing materials.

    + CRM pipeline and reporting activity on assigned hyperscale accounts.

    + Discuss and understand profit and loss for account set including deal values and margins, budget and forecast development, monthly business reviews, and achievement of sales targets.

    + involves understanding their long-term business objectives, technology roadmaps (including propagation of AI, high-density computing, cloud etc.) expansion plans, and sustainability goals.

    + Apply a robust knowledge of multiple mission critical and outsourcing disciplines, their core-business, and key drivers which impact industry growth and buying patterns/ decisions.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organizations functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interest to reach a common goal.

    + Move beyond transactional selling to become a trusted advisor. The BDD is responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities to embed CBRE’s full spectrum of FM support services across the clients global portfolio, from initial site selection and advisory to project management, facilities operations, and consulting activities. This includes proactively developing account penetration strategies to maximize CBRE’s value delivery and share of wallet.

    + Identify and solve muti-dimensional, complex, operational and organization problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

    + Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

    + Manage the entire sales cycle for complex opportunities, from lead development, to initial qualifications and proposal development through to negotiation, closing, and ensuring a smooth handover to Operations delivery teams. This demand strong leadership, program management skills, and the ability to navigate complex client organizations and internal matrix structures within CBRE to secure expand business with global data center operators.

    + What You’ll need:

    + Bachelors Degree preferred with 10 years of relevant data center experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of 15+ years’ experience and education will be considered.

    + Outsourcing sales, data center solutions sales, interacting with a variety of persons within targeted organizations, from technical evaluators, infrastructure managers, Operations leaders, procurement team leaders, finance managers, etc. BDD needs to be comfortable tailoring communication style and value proposition to resonate with different priorities.

    + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.

    + The BDD should be skilled in asking insightful questions to uncover a hyperscale prospects specific challenges, strategic goals, and operational pain points, rather than just pitching a solution or service one-way. Experience in framing initial discussions around solving business problems and achieving desired performance and financial outcomes is key.

    + Leadership skills to set manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
