Job Summary:

The JBS Pork team is seeking a Boiler Room and Refrigeration General Foreman.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Duties/Responsibilities:

+ Supervise, evaluate and direct Maintenance Refrigeration and Boiler employees on shift in performing operations according to policies and procedures

+ Stimulate maximize safety, efficiency, quality and productivity of maintenance employees

+ Ensure proper training of employees

+ Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production

+ Work closely with other maintenance and production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in the department

+ Attend meetings as scheduled and called

+ Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent

+ Minimum of 3-5 years background experience in general industrial maintenance

+ General knowledge of machinery in plant that applies to the industry

+ Must have background knowledge in hydraulic, welding and some PLC training

+ Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.

+ Ability to prioritize activities. Capable to provide leadership/motivation to engage employees in the business.

+ Strong computer skills.

+ Interpersonal skills.

Education, Experience, Qualifications:

+ Must have overall knowledge of the Maintenance Boiler & Refrigeration Operation and the industry

+ Knowledge and technical skills in a variety of maintenance jobs

+ Must be people oriented, be able to understand employee’s needs, good motivator, and be able to teach new skills to employees

+ Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures

+ Good communications skills, both verbal and written

+ Excellent organizational, math and statistical skills

+ Good work history and attendance

+ Team Player with leadership skills

+ Technical training and certifications preferred but not required

+ Member of the Hazmat team

+ Computer skills and knowledge

+ Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Physical Requirements:

+ Climbing stairs

+ Frequent visits to production areas, environment consists of: Hot, Cold, Smells, PPE Required.

+ Work 50+ hours per week on production floor, including weekend work and rotating shifts as needed.

+ Possible exposure to slippery floors, extreme temperature variations, loud noise, chemicals, sharp objectives (knives), machinery, and vehicles.
