We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance the financial operations of our organization in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented accounting team while managing essential functions such as payroll, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in workflows.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and manage related audits, including employee reimbursements and time-off accruals.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management to maintain financial stability.
• Lead the monthly and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance reporting.
• Prepare and submit sales and use tax filings in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide mentorship and training to the accounting team, fostering growth and alignment with company values.
• Maintain accounting for both corporate activities and a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard assets and minimize business risks.
• Utilize technology and financial tools to generate insightful reports that support strategic decision-making.
• Represent the accounting team in audits, ensuring timely corrections and adjustments as needed.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting systems.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes.
• Experience with payroll systems and processing for medium-sized teams (101-500 employees).
• Knowledge of general ledger management and month-end closing procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and present financial data to stakeholders.
