Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Fundraising Officer to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this Contract position, you will play a pivotal role in driving fundraising initiatives and managing donor relationships to support our mission of improving the health and wellness of marginalized communities. This role involves a mix of development, marketing, and public relations responsibilities, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies to secure individual and major gifts from donors.
• Write compelling appeal letters, grant proposals, and donor acknowledgments.
• Maintain and update donor databases while generating detailed reports for organizational leadership.
• Design fundraising materials, including reports and collateral for donors and foundations.
• Coordinate and manage logistics for annual fundraising events and smaller community initiatives.
• Lead the creation and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations campaigns.
• Draft press releases, opinion pieces, and fact sheets to engage the media and increase visibility.
• Oversee the production of organizational publications such as annual reports and brochures.
• Ensure all communications align with the organization's mission and values.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and adjust strategies as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or at least 2 years of experience in development or fundraising.
• Proficiency in donor database systems, such as NeonOne, DonorPerfect, or Raiser's Edge.
• Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with software tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and other CRM platforms.
• Cultural competence and experience working with underserved or marginalized communities.
• Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively within a small team environment. TalentMatch®
