    Job Summary

    Manages and monitors databases for job postings, employer registrations and on campus recruiting activities. Assist students on job seeking strategies. Communicate with the university community promoting career opportunities.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Manages and monitors all aspects of employment services database including posting of job descriptions, new employer profiles, on-campus interview schedules, and serves as liaison to service provider.

    + Directs the orchestration of career fair(s) and teacher job fair(s) as well as other special events

    + Assists students with questions concerning office services, resumes, cover letters, interview strategies, and job seeking techniques.

    + Collects and assimilates statistics of recruiting activities and prepares the statistical reports and annual report.

    + Carries out supervisory responsibilities in a timely, fair, and objective manner to include supervision of full-time staff and student workers.

    + Communicates with students, faculty and staff post postings, on-campus recruiting schedules, and special events related to career opportunities.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university

     

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

     

    + Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    + Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    + Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Masters degree in higher education, student personnel, counseling, psychology or related field. Experience working in higher education environment or corporate recruiting office.
