    Job Opportunity: Cook III (Contract)

    **Positions:** 3 Contractors

    **Schedule:** M-F, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

    **Pay:** $13.58 - $20.14/hour (based on experience)

    About the Role:

    We're seeking three experienced Cooks (Proficiency Level III) for a contract role at the Local FEHQ Cafe. You'll lead catering, soup, and entrée preparation, ensuring high-quality food and service for FirstEnergy employees.

    Responsibilities:

    + Apply strong food service knowledge (sanitation, procurement, menu planning, etc.).

    + Lead catering, soup, and entrée preparation, plus salad bar and convenience items.

    + Perform efficient line cooking, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

    + Manage catering logistics, potentially with customer input.

    + Handle multiple daily tasks and contribute to process improvements.

    + Utilize the food ordering system and assist with invoices.

    + Provide excellent customer service.

    + Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

    Qualifications:

    + 6+ years relevant food service experience.

    + Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant business applications.

    + Strong time management and communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + ServSafe Manager certified (or willing to obtain).

    + Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting, standing).

    + High school diploma/GED (Culinary degree preferred).

    **Pay Details:** $13.58 to $20.14 per hour
