    Located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the **Parts & Distribution Coordinator** position is responsible for all inventory movement and storage in the parts warehouse. The Parts & Distribution Coordinator inspects incoming inventory, moves inventory in and around the warehouse, prepares parts orders for shipment, and verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments. Monitors inventory levels and performs cycle counts to check inventory accuracy in the parts warehouse. Responsible for the accuracy of inventory and shipments, and for organization of the warehouse.

    Essential Functions of the Job:

    1. Responsible for all parts warehouse activity and transactions needed to fulfill customer parts orders on time.

    2. Prioritize the picking, packing, and shipping of parts according to the sales/work order.

    3. Unpack, log, and inspect any returns.

    4. Receiving parts, including inspecting and properly labeling them.

    5. Organize the parts warehouse for efficiency and safety at all times.

    6. Monitor current parts inventory and report any potential issues/shortages to the Parts & Service Manager.

    7. Track incomplete and back orders.

    8. Champion inventory control measures in the parts warehouse.

    9. Collaborates with various internal departments for order and inventory accuracy.

    10. Interact with customers when orders are picked up.

    11. May be assigned additional responsibilities as necessary to support continuous improvement.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

    + Must be able to work independently without continuous direction or supervision.

    + Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

    + Strong customer service skills.

    + Must be able to read and interpret work orders, part numbers and shipping documents.

    + Requires ability to perform basic math and inventory management concepts.

    + Requires ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.

    + Strong computer skills: ability to enter data, look up information and maneuver between several computer programs simultaneously.

    + Knowledge and basic understanding of inventory management software. Previous experience with JD Edwards is preferred.

    + Requires knowledge of proper packaging methods and various forms used and required by the major freight carriers. Must have ability to fill out bills of lading.

    + Must have previous experience operating the most common material handling equipment and be able to become a licensed forklift truck operator.

    + Requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.

    + Able to work longer hours and/or including weekends during winter months as customer needs dictate.

    Education and Experience:

    + A minimum of 5 years in a warehouse environment.

    + A minimum of 1 year in a leading/supervising role in a warehouse environment.

    + Industry related experience in municipal, contractor, rental equipment, heavy machinery, and/or farming equipment background is preferred.

    Work performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and production assembly environment, with frequent standing, twisting, bending, stooping, and climbing in and around metal fabricated parts. Frequent lifting, pushing or pulling of 40 pounds alone and 100> pounds with assistance. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to identify required parts and operate production equipment (i.e. forklift, hand truck, etc.)
