Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Service Technician, where you will be responsible for servicing approximately 50-75 clients in the Central KY area. Your role will involve installing, troubleshooting, and repairing overhead doors and loading docks for commercial and industrial customers. You will travel to site locations in a company truck, with typical working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including at least one Saturday per month and occasional Sundays.

Responsibilities

+ Install, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors and loading docks.

+ Travel to client locations in a company truck for service calls.

+ Maintain and repair equipment such as dock levelers, vehicle restraints, scissor lifts, high-speed doors, rolling doors, fans, and air curtains.

+ Ensure truck maintenance and compliance with DOT driving checks after the initial 90-day period.

Essential Skills

+ Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.

+ Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including motor controls and 480V systems, for commercial/industrial settings.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to interact with clients and represent the company positively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous service work experience.

+ Experience with overhead door and loading dock service is preferred.

+ Lead experience is desirable.

Work Environment

The role involves daily travel and working outdoors, sometimes on ladders up to 40 ft. The position is physically demanding, requiring lifting up to 100 lbs. We provide lifters and hoists to assist with large equipment installations. The company truck must remain at the facility when not in use for work-related duties.
