Responsible for monitoring, managing, planning, and purchasing materials to support the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-paced FDA regulated manufacturing environment. The individual will have a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain operations and will work directly with internal and external customers to plan and forecast demand, create purchasing schedules, source materials, and monitor inventories to balance operational efficiencies with financial performance. The role will support daily manufacturing operations, marketing requirements, customer orders, and any new qualifications, validation, or projects.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure an uninterrupted supply of all materials to support manufacturing and commercial needs, adjusting delivery dates with suppliers as necessary.
+ Collaborate with internal and external customers to plan demand, generate forecasts, and create purchasing schedules.
+ Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and drive supplier performance to consistently meet target deliverables.
+ Monitor the on-time delivery (OTD) of suppliers and report any trends impacting manufacturing.
+ Ensure data integrity in the ERP system for accurate ordering and reporting.
+ Maintain daily purchase order (PO) accuracy, communicate PO status, and ensure timely material receipts.
+ Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve any issues with pricing, quantities, and ensure POs and invoices are closed weekly.
+ Evaluate and adjust safety stock levels based on inventory, lead times, and economic order quantities (EOQs).
+ Address quality, pricing, and delivery issues, escalating them as necessary.
+ Order materials in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
+ Work with Supplier Quality to set up new suppliers and ensure minimal inspection delays.
+ Monitor inventory of discontinued items to ensure replacement material availability.
Essential Skills
+ In-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment, preferably SAP.
+ Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
+ Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Pharma or Biologics industry in Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certification from Association For Supply Chain Management (ASCM) preferred.
+ Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma theories and principles, Green/Black Belt preferred.
+ Proficiency with statistics and experience with products controlled by shelf life.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation acumen, and team-building capabilities.
Work Environment
The role requires working four days in the office (Monday-Thursday) with the option to work from home on the fifth day. The office environment is collaborative, supporting diverse groups of people, and the position offers a high level of autonomy.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
