Position: Receptionist

Job Description:

Forward Air is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Receptionist to serve as the initial point of contact for our corporate office. This individual will be responsible for managing front desk operations and providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the efficient functioning of the office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, discretion, and organizational ability.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

+ Greet and assist all visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the organization

+ Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and relay accurate messages in a timely fashion

+ Receive, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence; prepare and process outgoing mail and packages

+ Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining office supply inventory

+ Support the coordination and execution of internal meetings, office functions, and general office operations

+ Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective service delivery

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

+ Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative support role, preferably in a professional office setting

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

+ Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

+ Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
