    Gateway Longview’s Residential Treatment Services is a therapeutic intervention for youth ages 12-18 and supports them in developing the skills needed to successfully live with their families or in the community.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Monitor day to day functioning of the residential units

    + Work directly with Youth Care Professionals to ensure continuity of therapeutic services

    + Respond to and Oversee all conflict resolution situations

    + Create a professional working environment through direct supervision of Youth Care Professionals

    + Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner

    + Fulfill other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Current NYS Driver’s License

    + Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

    + Ability to build rapport with youth based on healthy boundaries, effective communication and mutual respect

    + Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, patience, and active listening

    + Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles

    + Ability to physically restrain if required

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Associate's Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Theology, Social Work

    + 2 years related experience and 1 year of supervisory experience in Human Services

    + Demonstrated experience working with youth in professional or volunteer capacity
