The Sanitation Operator I, will perform housekeeping and sanitation processes using basic equipment and following sanitation schedules and safety processes. In this role, you will maintain good housekeeping and sanitation conditions to ensure food safety regulations and other local regulations are met, prevent failures and maintain safe work areas.

     

    **Job type:** Full time

    **Schedule:** 2nd & 3rd shift 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm or 9:30 pm - 6:00 am

    **Compensation:** $24.68/hr plus $0.25/hr for 2nd shift, $0.50/hr for 3rd shift

    **Sign on Bonus:** $3000

    Key Accountabilities

    + Packaging our finished product in accordance with prescribed packaging procedures while producing high-quality packing of finished goods

    + Work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines to make sure they are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products. Perform changeover and machine set-up as required

    + Inspecting products to oversee product quality assurance

    + Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork-focused environment

    + Operate forklifts

    + Contact the supervisor and maintenance personnel in the event of any mechanical problems or unsafe situations/work practices within your area

    + Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures

    + Maintain a safe and clean work environment

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship

    + Must be 18 years or older

    + Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

    + Basic use of a computer

    + Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

    + Ability to work in elevated areas

    + Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation

    + Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems

    + Experience working in a production-related work

    + Prior experience using the forklift and/or similar equipment

    + Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

    + Experience working in a food manufacturing environment

    + High school diploma or equivalent
