**Austin Bridge & Road** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Night Shift Civil Engineer** for a large project in **Farmers Branch, TX** . The Civil Engineer is on the Project Manager career-track and assists the Project Manager and Project Administrator in a variety of engineering functions identified as procurement and expediting of construction materials.

Responsibilities:

+ Procurement of materials

+ Detailed estimation of costs on proposed changes

+ Update of contract plans and master schedules

+ Overall responsibility of submittals

+ Responsible for tracking materials, project coordination and safety

+ Analyze, review and update job cost information

+ Process change orders as required by project owners

+ Manage subcontractors

+ Requests for information responses from owners and subcontractors

+ Assists in the compilation of close-out documents, including drawings, guarantees, warranties and service manuals for delivery to the owner

+ Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent preferred, but may be substituted by experience.

+ Experience with demolition, earthwork concrete paving, setting temporary concrete barrier, etc. a plus

+ Bilingual in Spanish a plus

+ Must be highly organized with an attention to detail

+ Be an effective communicator with strong customer service skills

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines

Requirements:

+ High School Diploma/GED or higher

+ Valid driver’s license

+ 5+ years of experience in earthwork, paving, etc. TxDOT highway work required

+ Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures

+ Must be able to work one of two shifts:

+ Open to swing shift (noon to midnight)

+ Night shift (6pm – 5am)

+ Must be able to work on call as needed

+ Project will entertain rotation from days to nights every few months or similar if needed
