    **Job Type:** Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Contract)

    **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, First Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

    **Pay Rate:** $21.00 per hour

    Join PDS Tech Commercial and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aircraft wheel and brake systems. As a **Mechanical Repair Technician** , your work directly supports the maintenance and reliability of aerospace components used in both commercial and defense aviation.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    + Perform receiving inspections on incoming aircraft assemblies and components

    + Disassemble, wash, blast, paint, rebuild, pressure test, and reassemble components following technical specs and manuals

    + Adhere to FAA, JAA, and customer maintenance standards

    + Mix and apply primer/paint to components

    + Ensure proper segregation and identification of in-progress parts

    + Maintain a clean, organized workspace by applying 5S principles

    + Identify and eliminate non-value-added steps in processes

    + Consistently contribute to process improvements

    + Manually handle large aircraft wheels and brakes (lifting and rolling)

    + Follow hazardous waste handling and disposal procedures

     

    What You Need to Bring

    Required:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs (with assistance if needed)

    + Willingness to work in an FAA safety-sensitive role (drug screening required)

    + Basic English literacy (read, write, speak)

    Preferred:

    + Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals and FAA documentation

    + Familiarity with aircraft component overhaul or shop environments

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

    **Pay Details:** $21.00 per hour
