The Opportunity:
As a Part Time on Call CACI Interdiction Operations Trainer (Counter Illicit Trafficking), you will support the US Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Counter Illicit Trafficking Branch efforts to enhance the effectiveness of select African Partner Nations’ National or Federal Counter Illicit Trafficking units through training course curriculum development, instruction, and training on the following subjects: Border Interdiction and Enforcement, Airport Interdiction, Seaport Interdiction, and Surveillance Operations. Specific training courses will be either 1-week or 2-weeks in duration. Rotations to the Africa continent are usually between 2-5 weeks in duration. African partners for training: Cabo Verde, Kenya, Mozambique, Senegal, and Tanzania.
Responsibilities:
+ Operating as part of a 3-person team, provide expertise in course development and relevant professional instruction to enable the capacity building of African Partner nation National and/or Federal Counter Illicit Trafficking organizations.
+ The primary enforcement / interdiction operations training course are focused on borders, airports, and seaports. You will work in parallel and mutually support a separate CACI technical team training the African partners on financial investigations, fraudulent document identification, and cybercrime.
+ Utilizing a Program of Instruction (POI) framework provided by the USAFRICOM Counter Illicit Trafficking Branch, you will work remotely to develop the course training curriculum and presentation material.
+ Deliver in-country training (temporary travel/duty) to partner forces through current and customized training, instruction, and hands-on exercises and scenario-based practice events in accordance with approved training curricula and program of instruction.
+ With the assistance of the USAFRICOM Counter Illicit Trafficking Branch (J591), develop a tailored SOP for training execution and scheduling, including a detailed training plan/schedule with partner force availability.
+ Facilitate and lead hotwashes and AARs that provide feedback on how training objectives were met.
+ At the conclusion of each training, facilitate and lead After Action Reviews to identify any lessons learned and corrective actions needed and to continuously refine the training materials.
+ Provide any documentation necessary to validate training for J591 compliance activities, including storyboards, AARs, training course personnel rosters, etc.
Qualifications:
_Required:_
+ 10 years or more of Federal Law Enforcement experience and/or Special Operations Forces experience with national level Enforcement and Interdictions Operations.
+ Prior experience working with African Partner Nations.
+ Direct experience with curriculum and training course development and instruction / training for Partner Nations.
+ Certification in a recognized Methods of Instruction Course from a US Federal Law Enforcement Organization, or another accredited Government organization or agency (for example, DoD).
+ Instructor experience and strong presentation and teaching skills.
+ Able to meet medical requirements and physical demands to deploy to Africa to support mission requirements.

+ Active Secret or higher security clearance.
+ Advanced educational degree
+ Language proficiency in French and/or Portuguese.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$74,600-$156,700
