Process Engineering CO-OP/Intern, Manufacturing, Life Sciences - FALL 2025 ($20.00 an hour) Akron, OH

Purpose and Summary:

Under direct supervision/guidance, the engineering intern candidate will support the engineering team and gain practical experience by analyzing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes within the Akron site.

Accountabilities:-

+ Support engineers by developing 3D models and drawings of tooling, machine guarding and fixtures.

+ Identify and implement process improvements through data analysis, observations, and conversation with operators on the plant floor.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes.

+ Help maintain a safe working environment by identifying potential hazards within the plant.

+ Present recommendations, key findings and lessons learned to project team members.

Education and Experience:

+ Currently pursuing/enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing degree (Bachelors or Masters) within mechanical or chemical engineering or related field.

+ Experience with the Microsoft Office package

+ Experience with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks or similar)
