The Work

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full\-time Software Engineer\. In this role, you will perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs\. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in Java/C\+\+ on a Linux Operating System\.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance\.

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent STEM\.

Academic or professional experience using Python, Bash, C, or similar programming languages

Operating systems development experience with Linux or Unix, including shell scripting, in academic or professional environment

Desired Skills:

Professional experience of 1 year\+ using required skills\.

Ability to work with cross\-functional teams \(Hardware, Systems Engineering, integration \+ Test\)\.

Experience with Containerization, Ansible, GitLab

Basic understanding of Software Development Methodologies

Basic understanding of Software configuration management

Basic understanding of Full software life\-cycle development

**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
