Under the direction of the Clinic Coordinator, coordinates, works collaboratively with interdisciplinary provider's internal and external clients for the organization to coordinate referrals, and follows up on appointments and diagnostic studies and scanning of patient medical records. Has only clerical participation in the performance improvement initiatives related to the management of patient care, not clinical participation.

Schedules new consults and established patients. Calls and confirms next day's appointments. Answers phone. Verifies insurance. Collects co-pays and previous balances. Obtains medical records and patient sign in log. Assists Medical Assistant with any urgent lab or radiology reports needed. High School diploma or equivalent (required). Additional business courses and/or medical office experience preferred.

+ Required take a typing test of 45 wpm and a medical terminology test. Proficiency with computer skills and solid clerical skills. Strong customer service skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills on the telephone and in person. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
