Purpose
Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing the Trinity Health enterprise area functional responsibilities. Enable enterprise level strategy to address internal or external business & regulatory issues; provide functional expertise and ensure fulfillment of performance and service standards. Serves as the lead representative of Facilities and Construction Service activities throughout the designated region/division. Responsible for the oversight and management of: Plant operations, construction planning, and consistent operating performance and achieving financial goals of a regional program. Identifies, defines & solves complex problems that impact the management & direction of the business; Collaborate with SASS Area, Regions and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations. Maintaining awareness of new industry developments and standards. Provides decision support, operations &/or optimization leadership focus.

Executive Leadership
+ Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to RHM and Market Leaders in developing strategies and in the achievement of performance goals.
+ Enable Collaboration across and within SASS area, Regions, and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations.
Direction and Growth
+ Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to site functional leaders and site & RHM leadership
+ Knowledge and Process Mastery standardization/systemness and optimization of standards, process, methodologies, etc. establishing a national community of practice.
+ Vendor/Contract Labor Management centralizing strategy and optimizing spend.
Strategic Support & Accountability
+ Collaborates in system-wide strategy development and deployment of functional area priorities and initiatives
+ Responsible for supporting state and regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities
+ Accountable for the selection, evaluation, and overall success of the functional leadership teams within the region and market
+ Organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies and governance over financials and staffing
+ Communication liaison between operational leader and functional leaders
Operational Delivery
+ Reporting and Metrics measuring value delivery
+ HRM responsibilities responsible for the colleague experience
**Maintains a working knowledge** of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of conduct, as well as other policies & procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior.
Minimum Qualifications
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):
+ Bachelor’s Degree with preferred emphasis on Business, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management and/or Construction or other equivalent degree
+ Certification required: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Healthcare Care Constructor (CHC).
+ Master’s degree in business, Construction Management Design or equivalent preferred.
+ An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Experience (required and preferred):
+ At least ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience specifically in hospital facility management operations.
+ Must have experience with financial and operational management
+ Blueprint reading, building codes, N.F.P.A., O.S.H.A., THE Joint Commission, DNV, EOC requirements, policy and procedure development and implementation. Five years in healthcare management, construction management, plant operations, or managing building assets. Progressive management experience (may have served in lead position or acted in absence of management.) Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
+ Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP)
+ Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems, and the integration with the healthcare environment.

+ Occasional clinical / patient facing work environment.

+ Frequent attention to maintain a safe working environment & use of available personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Includes frequent work time indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled & well-lit conditions; may encounter occasional variable external environmental conditions.

ADDENDUM: Functional Roles
This position is responsible for Annual Compliance Reviews (ACR); program financial performance within assigned region/division; and customer satisfaction with various programs.
Facility Management
+ Oversee operations of the regional Facility Management Group by conducting monthly department head visits and meetings; ensuring that reports are delivered in a timely manner; providing a working environment that meets all regulatory compliance; and completing and maintaining all key performance indicators.
+ Conducts ACRs at each location. Apply consistent use of quality measures developed to help measure effectiveness of FM program.
+ Oversees customer satisfaction surveys at least annually.
Construction Management
+ Actively participates in construction related activities including a primary role in the management of capital projects and a key role in the development and implementation of the Master Facility Plans in coordination with National Planning Design & Construction rules/schedules. This position will report indirectly to local leadership for coordination and delivery of projects.
Operations & Administration
+ Develops and manages regional budgets that roll up from each location within the assigned region, verifies and assures appropriate use of regional staff, materials, supplies and vendors. Ensures that current records of all managed programs are kept as required to meet all applicable codes and standards. .
+ Networks with peers to gain innovative ideas and sourcing of information. Coordinates with other facility management personnel at a local, regional and national level as necessary to assure a seamless provision of Fac & Const Services programs by implementing standardized policies, procedures, key statistics, work order processing, performance and quality indicators and uniform disciplinary action wherever possible.
This role will also have input into Trinity Health’s Sustainability programs and platforms.
This position is a remote position. There will be travel to the System Office and our hospitals.
