    Overview

     

    We are seeking aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Medical Surgical Unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Med Surg Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

     

    Bonus Options : up to a $5K bonus

     

    Shift’s Available : Days

     

    Employment Type : Full Time

     

    Hours : 12 hour shifts, 7:00am – 7:00pm

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care

    + Meets the communication needs of the patient and family

    + Document patient observations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records

    + Provide CPR, administer medications, update documentation, process specimens, provide wound care and monitor vital signs

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    + current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse

    + current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

    + IV certification within 30 days and maintain current

    + ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current

    Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

    + one year experience in an applicable setting
