    What You'll Get To Do:

    Panasonic Procurement Corporation of America (PPA) located in Torrance, California is collaborating with Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA) and Tesla, Inc. in a large-scale advanced battery manufacturing facility known as the Gigafactory near Reno, Nevada and De Soto Kansas. We are currently establishing procurement processes and logistics database infrastructure in preparation for data-driven supply chain operation.

     

    Our mission at PPA is to make the vision of Operational Excellence as procurement platform of Panasonic Group in North America by the greatest professionality of global supply chain management. Through this effort we will contribute to Panasonic manufacturing site in North America in terms of creating procurement scheme, buy & sell operation, global logistics, supplier management/development, and solution providing against all of procurement challenges.

     

    The purpose of this role is to build, manage, and continuously enhance a data-driven global procurement model in Panasonic Group, leveraging supply chain analytics to support strategic decision-making for our customers. Currently, we are developing robust databases, interactive dashboards, and expanding our analytical capabilities. We are seeking a team member who can actively contribute to creating, maintaining, and improving these critical data resources and analytical tools.

    Database Management

    + Maintain and manage SQL databases to support supply chain operations under supervision.

    + Perform data cleaning, backups, and regular maintenance activities under supervision.

    + Implement and maintain data warehousing solutions for efficient data retrieval and reporting.

    + Develop automated scripts and queries to streamline data entry, extraction, and validation processes.

    Supply Chain Data Analysis

    + Leverage analytical skills to develop detailed reports and perform data analysis to support cross-functional teams.

    + Contribute to forecasting processes by interpreting data, documenting key assumptions, refining models, and recommending operational adjustments.

    + Collect and analyze logistics data to enhance operational efficiency.

    + Assess customer procurement needs and offer value-added solutions to consolidate procurement functions, improving efficiency.

    Procurement Operation Management

    + Proactively communicate and coordinate with warehouses, logistics companies, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operational processes.

    + Resolve operational and logistical issues swiftly, maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.

    + Maintain regular updates regarding inventory status, delivery schedules, and purchase orders.

    Qualifications

    What You'll Bring:

    Education & Experience:

    + Prefer 3+ years of experience in a Business or BI Analyst role developing dashboards, analysis, reporting, data warehousing solutions.

    + Expertise in SQL, relational databases, data warehousing, automation.

    + Experience forecasting product sales and improving forecast model inputs.

    + Experience in working with Data visualization tools such as Power BI, building interactive reports, complex dashboards for different audiences, creating calculated KPIs or metrics by writing complex formulas.

    + Ability to communicate with business stakeholders for procurement needs review and data collections.

    + Ability to translate complex analytical work into meaningful insights and recommendations for business stakeholders preferred.

    + Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

    + Knowledge of how to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis.

    + Undergraduate degree or equivalent experiences in computer science, information systems, engineering, supply chain is preferred.

    + Must be proficient with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel.

    + Experience with MS Fabric data management is preferred

    + Communication skill in Japanese is considered a plus for evaluation but are not required.

    The wage range of $65,000- 80,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
