We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Office Support Specialist to assist our Branch One bedding office in Carthage, MO. It is the responsibility of the Office Support Specialist to act as the first contact for the Branch, while providing support to Branch One Mission and Vision.
So, what will you be doing as an Office Support Specialist?
+ Identify and stop further processing of non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality systems.
+ Take action to prevent non-conformities related to the product produced, services provided or the LP9000 management system.
+ Make suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions.
+ Know the location of and understand their control plans, work instructions and specifications.
+ Answering and routing incoming calls in a pleasant and efficient manner.
+ Assisting the Branch Manager with daily tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
+ Maintaining and balancing the petty cash drawer monthly.
+ Processing and recording cash payments for employee purchases.
+ Complying with company policies and procedures.
+ Filing personnel records for current and terminated employees.
+ Accepting applications, answering applicant questions, and verifying application completeness.
+ Entering applications into LPCS.
+ Receiving and logging deliveries.
+ Managing all aspects of office supplies.
In addition, the Office Support Specialist performs any other tasks related to the operation of this Branch as directed by the Branch Manager. This position may require occasional overtime.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize job responsibilities.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with general accounting and accounts payable processes (basic mathematical functions necessary to perform the job)
+ Ability to maintain confidential information and records in a professional manner.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
+ Enthusiasm and helpfulness in handling phone calls, with the ability to manage multiple phone lines.
+ Strong team player and flexible when working with all departments and management teams.
