Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with strong skills in SQL and Microsoft Access to support data management, reporting, and decision-making processes. This role will involve collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive business performance. The ideal candidate will be experienced in querying databases, automating reports, and maintaining Microsoft Access databases.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases

+ Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Access databases, forms, and reports

+ Generate and automate recurring reports and dashboards for various departments

+ Identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues through detailed data analysis

+ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions

+ Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats

+ Document data sources, processes, and technical steps for internal knowledge sharing

+ Support ad hoc reporting and analysis needs as requested

+ Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field

+ 2+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or similar role

+ Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, etc.)

+ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Access (including VBA, queries, and form/report development)

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with pivot tables, advanced formulas, and charts

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences

+ Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources

+ Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience with VBA for Access automation

+ Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems and how data flows through them

+ Understanding of database architecture and data warehousing concepts

+ Experience in a highly regulated or data-sensitive industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, government)
