Position Overview:
The Surgery Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the patient journey, from initial consultation to postoperative care. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach to patient management, and a commitment to delivering first-class service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the healthcare or aesthetic field, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the primary liaison between the surgeon, medical team, and patients, ensuring seamless communication at every stage of the surgical process.
+ Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, preoperative appointments, and postoperative follow-ups, maintaining efficiency in the calendar while prioritizing patient needs.
+ Educate patients on the surgical process, including preparation, recovery expectations, and financial aspects, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
+ Collaborate with the billing department to discuss treatment costs, payment plans, and insurance details with patients where applicable.
+ Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, consultations, and surgery schedules in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
+ Stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and practice policies, ensuring patients receive accurate and comprehensive information at all times.
+ Provide empathetic and professional support to patients who may be anxious about their procedure, fostering trust and confidence in their care.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ A minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Surgery Coordinator, Patient Care Coordinator, or in a related role within a medical or aesthetic practice.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively convey complex information to patients and staff in a professional manner.
+ Proficiency with scheduling software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
+ A personable, polished, and empathetic demeanor to create a welcoming and supportive experience for patients.
+ Familiarity with plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures is highly preferable.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with a fast-paced, tight-knit team while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
