Senior Accountant: Manage 1 Direct Report

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client's A& F team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within the organization by managing financial processes and supervising a direct report. Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

• Review and approve journal entries to ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls.

• Handle fixed asset accounting, including tracking and reporting asset valuations.

• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to support strategic financial planning.

• Contribute to month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.

• Supervise and mentor a direct report, with potential to expand team oversight.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is desired.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting standards.

• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage team member(s) effectively.
