Job Purpose
The Vice President of Asset Management is responsible for maintaining BRIDGE’s high-quality portfolio of assets and executing BRIDGE’s strategic goals related to portfolio benchmarks, acquisitions, and dispositions. The VP will oversee a rapidly growing portfolio of affordable, multifamily, and senior communities across California and the Pacific Northwest.
This role ensures that investment strategies are executed and evolve to create value. The VP will evaluate performance across the portfolio to support business planning, benchmark setting, and policy development. The role requires close collaboration with departments including Property Management, Accounting, Legal, Insurance, and Development, as well as external consultants, lenders, and investors.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide day-to-day leadership aligned with BRIDGE’s mission and core values.
+ Oversee the performance of pre-stabilization properties, ensuring financial and physical standards are met or exceeded.
+ Create and maintain asset management strategies for each property.
+ Address cash-flow and long-term capital needs; work with investors/lenders to unlock reserves or secure loans.
+ Review capital plans and reserve balances; ensure progress on major projects.
+ Prepare annual Board reports for SPEs and partnerships.
+ Monitor portfolio financials; ensure variances and performance meet internal and lender/investor expectations.
+ Develop property plans to align surplus cash with long-term corporate goals.
+ Provide accurate, timely reporting on portfolio condition.
+ Develop and implement systems and strategies to support growth in Asset Management.
+ Collaborate on operational infrastructure planning and scaling.
+ Track and monitor LIHTC capital accounts and exit tax projections.
+ Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performance Asset Management team.
+ Serve as primary contact for lenders and investors; maintain strong working relationships.
Requirements
+ 7+ years of leadership experience in asset management, property management, or affordable housing development (including LIHTC).
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
+ Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis.
+ Skilled in strategic planning, budget management, and organizational development.
+ Proven leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree preferred.
