The East Rochester School District is recruiting for a full-time tenure track educator who is a lifelong learner and demonstrates a commitment to an inclusive student-centered approach to learning.

Elementary Special Education Consultant Teacher

+ Plan and provide instruction for students with learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental disabilities in accordance with NYS mandates and standards.

+ Develop, implement, and evaluate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.

+ Develop, implement, and evaluate lesson plans utilizing best practices and aligned with NYS Learning Standards.

+ Develop, implement, and evaluate alternative behavior management plans.

+ Work on a multidisciplinary team to foster collaborative planning and an interdisciplinary approach to learning.

+ Effectively communicate with school staff, parents, districts, and community agencies.

+ Manage and support the classroom team.

+ Participate in ongoing training.

Job Qualifications

+ NYS Students with Disabilities Certification Grades B-2, 1-6, NYS Literacy Certification- Preferred

+ Knowledge and experience implementation NYS standards, Core Curriculum, and NYS Alternative Assessment.

+ Proven leadership with classroom team management preferred.
