    Level Descriptions:

    **Level I –** Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate, timely, in the correct manner (i.e. verbal, written, email, etc.). Individual had a good understanding of at least one type of system within this division as well as holds a low level NICET or other industry certification.

    **Level II -** Consistently achieves all the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to level I positions. Has an ability to work on multiple Special Systems deliverables and has obtained mid-level NICET or other industry certifications.

    **Senior -** Highly experienced in the position. Advanced awareness of the technical needs of system programming. Individual has a deep understanding of the many systems installed and maintained within the division. The individual usually has a high level NICET or other certification and is active in the industry. Provides mentoring and direct supervision when required on projects.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Support installation personnel on project sites.

    + Differentiate which power supplies is needed to support job electronic locks specifications.

    + Differentiate the difference between cylindrical, mortise, maglocks, fail safe , fail secure, and any other type of electric strike associated with any type of mechanical locks.

    + Work with different network components and workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission and factors that impact video rates and quality, and basic switch, router, and firewall principles

    + Read prints for advance access control, network video systems, intrusion, intercom/paging, and also have the ability to install and program a wide range of different systems.

    + Troubleshoot a wide range of different security systems.

    + Differentiate between series and parallel circuits, as well as difference voltage and amperage rating when using a series or parallel circuit.

    + Identify materials needed for new projects

    + Provide information and support for other contractors on project site.

    + Debug installation issues during both the static and dynamic start up and commissioning of building special systems.

    + Provide support to Climatec and other contractors to solve building operating issues that go beyond the special systems operation.

    + Provide input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, installation, start up, commissioning, and training for building systems.

    + Provide start up documentation including daily logs, check out logs, commissioning documents, etc. as required for assigned projects.

    + Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.

    + Assist in preparing of as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 2+ of technical experience in Security & Fire Alarm Systems or Electronics-related studies OR equivalent technical experience such as military training or on-the-job training programs.

    + An understanding of basic computer operation.

    + Clean DMV Record & maintain clean record

    + The ability to work well under pressure

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Additional technical certifications or coursework related Security & Fire Alarm Systems, Electronics, or Computer Science.

    + Basic understanding of computer networking experience.

    + Basic understanding with programming languages relevant to the role.

    + Basic understanding in configuring and debugging computer and networking issues.

    + Familiarity with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and oscilloscopes.

    + Ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams.

    + Working understanding of AC power circuitry, including breakers and multi-phase power (120VAC)

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and empathize with others' perspectives.

    Essential Job Functions (Field):

    + Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.

    + Be able to lift up to 50lbs+.

    + Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.

    + Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.

    + Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle.

    + Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.

    + This role involves frequent work in outdoor settings, mechanical or equipment rooms, and potentially extreme weather conditions. Regular exposure includes live voltage, moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery, and wet or humid environments. Work may also involve elevated or precarious locations, exposure to airborne particles, fumes, electrical hazards, and vibrations. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot or cold), and loud noise levels is to be expected.

    + Must have accurate color vision and maintain clear visual acuity to safely and effectively perform job responsibilities
