    The Office of the Dean of Students (DoS) seeks a dedicated Student Conduct Coordinator to work in the Community Standards unit and administer Off-Campus Student Services. The Community Standards team is responsible for student conduct on and off campus, providing educational adjudication to address student behavior and uphold University standards. This Student Conduct Coordinator will oversee town-gown relations between our students and their neighborhoods by collaborating with on- and off-campus police, neighborhood associations, and other community constituents. This administrator will maintain our off-campus housing databases and assist in all operations and functions of the DoS and Community Standards.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Resolve student conduct referrals and issue emergency and temporary actions.

    + Train Student Conduct Administrators, Hearing Board Members, and Advisors.

    + Collaborate with campus partners to educate the student body and our colleagues about the student code of conduct through presentations, workshops, and other venues.

    + Coordinate the creation and distribution of various materials for off-campus student residents, including the off-campus resources website, monthly off-campus newsletter, College Pads housing marketplace, and off-campus registry using email, social media, and the DoS website.

    + Attend meetings of the neighborhood associations where our off-campus students reside.

    + Serve on various committees relevant to the Off-Campus Student Services, including but not limited to the Hazing Response Team, the Campus Security Advisory Committee, and the Committee on University and Community Relations.

    + Support the Office of the Dean of Students (DoS) and Community Standards operations and functions.

    + As needed, assist the Office of the Dean of Students team with its operational and institutional responsibilities.

    + Other reasonable duties as assigned

    Functional and Supervisory Relationships:

    + Reports to Assistant Dean of Students, Community Standards and Off-Campus Student Services

    + Supervises the following positions:

    + May supervise employees as assigned (if no direct reports at time of filling position): Community Standards Graduate Assistants and student staff

    Job Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Baccalaureate degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.

    + Two years of relevant experience working in Student Affairs or similar student service capacity in Higher Education.

    + Experience presenting to audiences of various sizes.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + ??Master's degree in Higher Education, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related area from a college or university accredited by a US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.

    + Analytical skills, demonstrated by experience analyzing complex evidence and facts, adjudicating student conduct cases, and/or writing clear, organized, evidence-based student conduct hearing decisions.

    + Experience in crisis or incident management

    + Two years of experience adjudicating student conduct cases and/or annually serving and regularly participating as a Hearing Board member for student conduct cases, including Title IX and sexual misconduct cases.

    + Neighborhoods that are typically associated with the locations where our off-campus students reside.

    Eligibility for Consideration:

    + You must be employed at the University at Albany campus.

    + You must be in a State-funded UUP professional position (MC employees are not eligible).

    + You must have a permanent, term, or probationary appointment. Only temporary employees employed by UAlbany for three or more consecutive years can be considered eligible.

    Professional Rank and Salary Grade: Senior Staff Assistant, SL-3, $56,000
