Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all industrial equipment in the facility. The facility processes green beans and bell peppers on conveyor lines. The technician will assist the maintenance manager with the installation of preventive maintenance (PM) protocols throughout the facility. The primary goal is to ensure production machinery, specifically conveyor systems, operates with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

+ Perform repairs and maintenance on all industrial equipment.

+ Assist the maintenance manager with the installation of preventive maintenance protocols.

+ Ensure conveyor systems run efficiently with minimal downtime.

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480 volts.

+ Fix 3 phase motors and perform electrical work.

+ Handle hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.

+ Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

+ Conduct PLC and electrical troubleshooting.

Work Environment

The position is on the 3rd shift, from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. During the busy season, employees can expect to work 10-12 hour days and 55-60 hour work weeks, especially around Thanksgiving. The plant temperature is maintained at 40 degrees, so employees should dress warmly in coats and gloves. After one month, company uniforms will be provided.

This is a Permanent position based out of Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.
