    Job Title: Software Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Communications Test Systems team, dedicated to developing software and hardware solutions for functional and diagnostic testing of communication electronic assemblies. This role requires a deep understanding of system design and architecture, with a focus on developing test applications to validate requirements for tactical communication equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop documentation including test requirements documents, validation plans, validation reports, and version descriptions.

    + Write C# code for software development and troubleshooting.

    + Provide rough drawings for new cable designs showing wire connections.

    + Troubleshoot using external test and measurement equipment.

    + Collaborate with hardware and software groups to troubleshoot systems.

    + Understand and capture customer requirements to define test scenarios for performance verification.

    + Perform analysis of technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to determine test requirements.

    + Design physical interface connections and generate necessary documentation, such as electrical schematics and wire lists.

    + Develop software using object-oriented APIs to apply stimuli and measure outputs from UUT.

    + Configure test system instrumentation and UUT settings.

    + Debug and troubleshoot to resolve failure conditions during development.

    + Conduct software validation and verification testing.

    + Utilize Life Cycle DevOps and revision control software for all source and document data.

    + Travel and interact with customers when required.

    + Work independently or collaboratively to meet project goals and ensure best practices.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 5 years of experience in software development using C#, C++, or other object-oriented languages.

    + Fluency in Object Oriented Design practices.

    + Proficiency in using communication and bench test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.

    + Basic knowledge of RF systems and measurements.

    + Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

    + Experience with software development in C#.

    + Understanding of modern software-defined architectures.

    + Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis.

    + Experience in tactical or airborne radio logistics.

    + Knowledge of RF Measurements and testing methodologies.

    + Proficiency in MATLAB and LabVIEW.

    + Comfort with writing programs to remotely set up radios and take measurements.

    + Understanding of basic functions tested on RF transmitters/receivers.

    + Familiarity with various modulation types: amplitude, frequency, and phase modulation.

    Work Environment

    The work environment follows a 9/80 schedule, and may require travel and customer interaction. The role is based in Orlando, FL, within an engineering center of excellence focused on military support.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $67.00/hr.
