The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for operating automated laboratory equipment to coat 96-well microtiter plates, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and maintained according to standard procedures. The role involves producing coated plates, addressing production issues, and performing a variety of lab duties.
Responsibilities
+ Operate automated laboratory equipment to coat 96-well microtiter plates.
+ Perform equipment cleaning and maintenance.
+ Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines to produce buffers.
+ Produce coated plates with assigned equipment and ensure equipment maintenance.
+ Identify and address any issues arising during production.
+ Vial buffers, antibodies, calibrators, and controls.
+ Label vials and bottles.
+ Conduct buffer production.
+ Maintain lab equipment.
+ Perform general lab duties such as stocking supplies, organizing lab space, and updating documentation and SOPs.
+ Conduct general lab cleaning including washing dishes and cleaning lab bench tops in the plate coating room.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in laboratory, machine operation, and lab equipment handling.
+ Proficiency in labeling and buffering processes.
+ Troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
+ High School Diploma.
+ 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Basic mathematical skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical aptitude and computer skills are highly desirable.
+ Basic mathematical skills are essential for daily tasks.
Work Environment
The position operates within a laboratory setting and involves working with the Oyster Bay Pump Machine. The role requires adherence to a Monday through Friday schedule, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Some flexibility in hours is required as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
