Job Title: Production Labor
Job Description
The production labor position involves routinely using molds and presses to produce both first parts and regular production parts efficiently and independently. This role requires working on manufacturing assignments according to written procedures, where identifying deviations from standard practices is crucial. An ability to collaborate well with co-workers in a team environment is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Operate press machine to create parts using molds.
+ Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions.
+ Measure stock to ensure it is the correct thickness and length.
+ Place various materials by hand in molds, on the mandrel, or in the build fixture.
+ Weigh stock and scrap for salvage purposes.
+ Monitor individual production for defective parts to ensure early detection.
+ Use production equipment and tools, such as calipers and scales, regularly.
+ Ensure materials handling recordkeeping is completed according to company and ISO standards.
+ Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area, including setup and cleanup at the start and end of shifts.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Working or Production Lead, Planner, Production Supervisor, and/or Module Manager.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
+ Experience using hand tools to fabricate parts.
+ Attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Combination of relevant education and experience can be considered in lieu of exact education.
+ Skilled in using hand tools including calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
+ Knowledge of general labor and assembly.

Work Environment
Working in a manufacturing environment requires the ability to work under variable conditions within the plant. Employees must be open to wearing a respirator for 6-8 hours a day and adapt to temperature instability and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors. Exposure to solvents and other industrial chemicals is also a part of the work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McMinnville, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $21.00/hr.
