Diabetic Educator will work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary team on curriculum development and teaching materials for educational services to diabetic patients. He/she will explore all options to procure testing monitors, materials and community resources for the un/under insured.

As a Diabetic Educator (Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse (RN)), you will:

+ Be responsible for teaching diabetes education care skills to patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes in class and individual sessions.

+ Maintain optimal program development, polices, marketing and data outcomes.

+ Act as the educator will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide quality care for patients enrolled in the diabetes program.

+ The Diabetic Educator will act as a leader, innovator and change agent in the pursuit of improved quality of patient care.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified Diabetes Educator candidates will need the following:

+ Registered Nurse - Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse in the state of employment

+ Associate Degree required

+ Three years' experience in patient education

+ One year experience in diabetic education

+ Certified Diabetic Educator

+ Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly
