    RMF Documentation Specialist (15.25)

     

    OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

     

    OCT is seeking an RMF Documentation Specialist to support the United States Air Force’s 557th Weather Wing with high-quality preparation, maintenance, and submission of RMF compliance documentation. The candidate will work closely with Cybersecurity Engineers and ISSOs to consolidate technical inputs into standardized templates, ensuring version control, completeness, and CSAM readiness. This role plays a critical part in ensuring audit-ready, policy-aligned artifacts such as SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, and RARs are delivered on schedule and in compliance with all applicable DoD and NIST guidelines. This position is contingent on contract award.

    Day to day responsibilities include:

    • Prepare and maintain RMF artifacts using official USAF templates and naming conventions.

    • Consolidate inputs from engineers and assessors into SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, and RARs.

    • Track revisions, enforce version control, and maintain documentation repository.

    • Support document uploads and metadata management within CSAM or other designated systems.

    • Conduct QA reviews to ensure consistency, completeness, and traceability of technical content.

    • Coordinate with administrative support and task order leadership for scheduling and delivery tracking.

    Requirements

    Qualifications/Requirements

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen

    + Must hold an active DoD Secret or above clearance.

    + Must be able to work on-site at Offutt AFB (5 days/week minimum).

    + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technical Writing, or related.

    + 3+ years of experience supporting RMF or FISMA programs in a federal context.

    + Strong working knowledge of RMF documentation lifecycle and artifact structure.

    + Experience with CSAM, SharePoint, or secure document repositories preferred.

    + Detail-oriented with excellent formatting and document quality assurance skills.

    + Ability to interpret complex technical ideas from technicians into documentation that can be understood by non-technical supervisors and commanders.

    Salary Range: $40,000- $400,000 yearly commensurate with experience, education, etc.
