BAE Systems is seeking a Project Manager who embraces challenges and is a motivated self-starter. This position will be an integral part of a diverse team of professionals and subject matter experts fulfilling challenging technical requirements for our dynamic customers. Will support both urgent short duration projects and longer term requirements. Will travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
The candidate will oversee, manage project(s) and serve as a liaison between a variety of functional areas and the Project Management Office (PMO). Prepares project execution plan and identifies technical and business resources needed. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
The following duties are typical of the position:
1. Coordinates resources for assigned subtasks with Engineering, Acquisition, Production, Testing, and Logistics managers.
2. Contributes to and develops portions of project plans, to include identifying/gathering technical requirements for assigned subtasks.
3. Reviews status of work completed against budgets, schedules, and technical requirements.
4. Prepares status reports, develops work order requests, and reviews drawings, kit lists, test procedures, briefs, and work instructions.
5. At various CONUS/OCONUS locations, performs as an onsite manager and customer interface for assigned tasks, as applicable; for example, provides Project Management presence at onsite surveys or Integration/Testing/Fielding efforts.
6. Conducts Integrated Product Team meetings for assigned tasks.
7. Develops, or assists with, development of project cost estimates.
8. Initiates corrective action to support task problems and failures.
This position is located in Southern Maryland. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Southern Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience or Associate degree and at least 7 years of related experience
Experience with the management of budget, schedule, and scope compliance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Familiarity with military and DoD customer organizations
Expertise with AV/VTC communications systems
CAPM or PMP certification
Experience in Microsoft Office (to include Project)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
