    The Leadership Development Manager drives initiatives for employee growth, engagement, and retention. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in impactful leadership programs. Key responsibilities include identifying and addressing leadership development needs, aligning them with organizational strategy, and maintaining effective business literacy. The position involves collaboration across the enterprise and may include international partnerships to ensure consistency in programming. Essential skills include interpersonal, communication, project management, facilitation, and analytical abilities. The manager consults with multi-level managers to ensure leadership capabilities are met and advises on strategic and tactical plans to align development with business goals and diversity standards.

     

    + Lead the design, implementation and sustainability processes of all leadership development programs to include but not limited to: new manager development, upskilling, change management, high potential, and new director development.

    + Build and maintain influential relationships by being a strategic partners

    + Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the Leadership Development functions for the company

    + Drive leadership and training process optimization, partnering with HR stakeholders to understand current inefficiencies and use development resources and expertise to promote scalable solutions

    + Confer with and advise leadership and HR partners on people-related strategy and leadership development programs to promote programs to impact business effectiveness.

    + Develop people-oriented programs to positively impact change management, drive engagement and strategically align with AutoZone’s diversity efforts

    + Key contributor in managing leadership development special projects from initiation through completion to include adherence to timelines and meeting expectations of key stakeholders.

    + Execute project plans, identify resources, and drive change management strategies

    + Understand the business well enough to envision the future in order to effectively drive and accelerate organizational change and design.

    + Participates in regular evaluation, auditing, and monitoring of development programs to ensure objectives are met, topics remain relevant, impactful, and in line with culture and organizational talent objectives.

    + Research, evaluate, pilot and utilize critical thinking to review Leadership Development vendors for key programs

    + Maintain high facilitations standards of leadership development programs to include auditing of vendor content, facilitator evaluations, and in-house facilitators development.

     

    Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience.

     

    Knowledgeable: Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws

     

    Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable with MS Office programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Your technical skills will help you analyze data and uncover insights.

     

    Effective Communicator: Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensures that your findings and recommendations are clearly understood by all stakeholders.

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, phycology or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
