    Position Purpose

    Coordinate and plan the flow of information and facilitate resolution to customer and company related initiatives including overhead and underground line extensions, services, street lighting, Company Engineering work request (EWR’s) and other related inquires. Assists supervisory staff with coordination, planning and completion of company driven projects and efforts. Provides auxiliary support for the dig safe and inspection programs, and other management activities as directed by the Operations Manager or other Supervisors in the Department. Prepares associated documents and ensures project tracking data bases are accurately maintained. Collaborates with co-workers and personnel from other departments to insure the effectiveness and efficiencies of internal processes and to provide satisfactory service to customers. Ensures that all work activities and interactions with customers and co-workers reflect the highest standards for conduct and professionalism.

    Project Coordination: coordinates, assembles, and organizes information pertaining to all customer and company requests relating to electric service needs to ensure accurate information is collected and processed within the operations center. Assist in the coordination of work flow processes between the Engineering, Operations and Materials Procurement groups, to ensure company initiated projects are processed and completed on time. Ensures that the customer meets certain obligations and provides the customer with accurate and timely information relative to company requirements. Proactively seeks to follow up on outstanding administrative issues and status of projects or service requests.

     

    + Seek, collect, and record accurate data, information and payments from customers, contractors, electricians, and consultants regarding electrical service requests.

    + Establish, prepare, and organize data base records and documents for the purpose of timely inspections and designs by the supervisory staff.

    + Provide guidance and instructions to customers, contractors, electricians, and consultants relative to company electric service policies, processes, schedules, constructions standards, and costs.,

    + Prepare and execute property easements to ensure Unitil’ s assets are legally installed and remain accessible.

    + Assist operations personnel with preparing and documenting estimates for the Capital Budget.

    + Update Electric Estimating model annually with accurate material and labor costs

    + Prepare and/or finalize accurate letters, estimates, and authorizations associated with customer and Company projects.

    + Initiate and track Dig Safe requests for customer and company projects involving pole installation or excavation work.

    + Process Meter to Transformer Forms after meter installs are completed to accurately assign a meter to a transformer

    + Accepts payments from customers and builders for Construction projects and works with Shared Services to process accurate billing

    + Manages and tracks Inspections (Blue Tags) from Town Building and Electrical Inspectors. Communicates Inspection approvals to Line Dept, Meter Dept and Supervisory Staff for scheduling purposes.

    + Prepare accurate meter and street light orders within the customer information system (enQuesta). Performs meter orders for SMART, NET and TOU. Assures proper rates are being applied for all orders.

    + Monitor and update the status of customer and company related projects.

    + Works closely with Business Development Dept for large projects involving G1 Customers and Key Accounts.

    + Accurately update costing factors within estimating models to reflect most recent changes in labor and material costs.

    + Coordinate and schedule appointments and calendars for the Field Technician and Field Services Supervisor.

    + Coordinate and schedule all appointments for the line and meter crews calendar for all scheduled jobs, such as disconnect/reconnects.

    + Communicates with local and State Building/Electrical inspectors. Coordinates and documents Electrical Inspection (Blue Tags) approvals and communicates approvals to Line, Meter and Supervisory staff for scheduling.

    + Schedules and tracks traffic control requests with Flagging companies and Police Depts.

    + Assist supervisory staff with collecting post construction cost information for customer and company related projects.

    + Assist supervisory staff with scheduling appointments, making phone calls, and miscellaneous project initiatives.

    + Work with DER Group to initiate and track net meter sets- communicating metering standards to Solar customers regarding height, labeling, transformer upgrades and verification.

    + Tracks and initiates performance based refunds per the DPU and DOE Tariffs.

    + Prepare documents and facilitate weekly construction meetings to ensure proper tracking of materials, documents and other means for both Customer and Company driven projects.

    Undertakes and completes assignments and special projects as assigned by supervisors and management. Provide routine support for any functional areas within Operations as directed by supervisory or management staff. Performs emergency storm duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Associates Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.

    + Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible related experience.

    + Proficient at personal computer software such as Excel, Word, and other desktop and information systems.

    + Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.

    + Strong ability to multi task and coordinate schedules for multiple departments within the organization.

    + Must be available for storm emergency roles in and outside of normal business hours
